Medical Surgical Nursing Our team of medical surgical nurses offer primary care to patients discharged from the hospital or Nursing Home who may require in-home medical or surgical nursing care. We also offer in-home care to patients who are chronically ill. Individualized plans of care are developed by our health care team in coordination with the patients family and physician. The nurse and other medical team members serve as teachers for the patient and their families. Skilled Nursing Services Include: Catheter Care Gastric Feeding Injections Wound Care Wellness Teaching Tracheotomy Care Diabetic Care and Teaching Patient & Family Teaching Patient & Mental Assessments IV Therapy Pediatric Nursing BHHC provides specialized home care services for families and their children. Our highly skilled pediatric nurses have in depth clinical experience and extensive educational background. Home health care services are provided by our nurse and include participation by other family members. The Registered Nurse consults frequently with the physician and develops a plan of care not only for the child, but for the family as well. Skilled Nursing Services Include: Tracheotomy Care Respiratory/Ventilator Care Wound Care            Tube Feedings Injections IV Therapy Mental Health Nursing Our mental health team provides care under the supervision of a psychiatrist to children, adolescents and adults with emotional and/or psychiatric problems. The team members include psychiatric nurses, social workers, occupational therapist and home health aides. The goal of our team is to keep patients functioning as independently as possible in their home and community and assist them in leading productive, complete lives. Emotional and/or psychiatric problems may include: Alzheimer's Disease or dementia Major Depression Chronic Psychiatric Disease Substance Abuse Homemaker / Home Health Aide / Companion Services BHHC provides a full array of personalized home care services.
